Humans,Secret Affairs: Stepmother Friend’s Mom Daughter in law you'll have to stand aside for this one.
Singapore will next week host what is touted as the world's first interactive art exhibition for cats and dogs.
SEE ALSO: Dog and kitten are the epitome of friendship goalsAt the Paw:sitiveexhibition, your pets are in for a (literal) treat, as they fly through clouds and enter a giant cat's belly for a poke around.
At the Peek-a-Poochinstallation, dogs are encouraged to stick their heads through little peepholes.
On the other side of the fence lies dog treats, toys and a full length mirror, so your dog can gaze at its own cuteness.
The artists explained to us that the installation uses a speaker in the corner that plays sounds to attract dogs, like a squeaky toy or a treat bag opening.
Via GiphyJes and Jalon, who created the piece, first came up with the idea for the installation when they saw a video showing dogs poking their noses through their neighbours fences.
They took some three months to construct the installation, having to sort out many minor kinks.
"We had to do things like smoothen the holes so it's comfortable for them to fit their faces in, and to make the holes big enough so their heads don't get stuck," they said.
The installation is just one of 10 that will fill up thePaw:sitive exhibition, of which there are four are for cats and six for dogs.
Over at the cats' end of the hall is a huge cat. Knitted out of yarn, the Cat's Belly --as the name suggests -- is meant to allow cats to feel like they're exploring the belly of another, gigantic cat.
The cat structure has four hollow 'rooms' inside, with each room having its own theme.
Via GiphyOne of them holds cat food; the other sprayed with cat pheromones and lined with soft material; another lined with little bells to create sound; and the other still remaining a mystery for now.
It took Kelly Limerick, the artist behind the installation, around four weeks to complete the piece.
"I used different kinds of yarn to knit this entire piece, and I made sure to use a different type of yarn for each part because I feel like cats can feel the difference," Limerick, who works under a pen name, told Mashable.
"I've always liked cats so I thought that the visual imagery of a cat coming out of a bigger cat was quite interesting."
When we saw the Cat's Belly, Limerick was still in the process of completing it, but here's how the finished product is supposed to look like:
The event, which was organised by pet food brand Wellness, has been tested by vets and animal behaviourist experts -- so no fear, your furry friends are in good hands.
The exhibition will run from Sept. 30 to Oct. 8 in Singapore so hurry, we expect there'll be a line at the door.
