On Sunday, after winning the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, McDormand finished her speech with a phrase many people hadn't heard of before: "inclusion rider".
In a nutshell, an "inclusion rider" is a contractual clause that requires a certain level of diversity to be met in a film.
Now, a few days after that speech was made, Black Pantherstar Michael B. Jordan has announced that his production company -- Outlier Society Productions -- will adopt inclusion riders for all of its projects.

Jordan's post received plenty of support on Twitter.

He also added a link to his Instagram bio with more information about the Annenberg Inclusion Initiative, which is the think tank behind the idea.
