LONDON -- Apple unveiled its latest line of MacBook Pros at its HQ in Cupertino,Biography Archives California on Thursday.
However, across the pond it wasn't the product's new features that were causing customers to do a double-take -- it was the Brexit-inflated price.

To put that in perspective, the newly released 13-inch MacBook Pro (without a Touch Bar) costs £1,449, while the previous standard model started at £999. The basic 15-inch used to cost £1,599, but now the base price for a new generation 15-incher starts at £2,349.

What's more, earlier generation products saw a price bump, too. For example, the older 13-inch MacBook Pro (previously £999) will now be sold for £1,249. The price increase applies across several different lines, including Mac minis and the iMac desktop series.
The price differential for Brits isn't part of a dastardly ploy by Apple to swindle the UK, however:

In fact, Apple products have seen a price bump worldwide, but the UK has been hit particularly hard, likely due to the plunging value of the pound following the results of the EU Referendum this past June.
