On a show like The Web Series ArchivesBachelor, it's understandable that contestants need to do what they can to stand out.
With the 23rd season (!) of the popular reality show set to arrive on Jan. 7 on ABC, a promo was released on Thursday featuring a contestant named Bri.

Bri's accent starts as believable, but then begins to sound like a strange mix of a Scandinavian and Australian accent. Or maybe it's South African.
Some people weren't so convinced by the accent.

To be fair, she doesn't say she's Australian -- rather that it's just an accent -- so she's technically not lying, just engaging in a little sprinkle of deception pretty early in the game.
As per The Bachelorwebsite, Bri is actually, shock and awe, a "model from Southern California."
"Bri is much more than just a pretty face. She played soccer for eight years, enjoys hiking and camping, and loves to hit the snowboard slopes. Her biggest dating fear? Farting too loudly. (Don't worry Bri, we won't tell Colton.)" the bio reads.
Also, does she plan on keeping this accent on throughout the series? Guess that's how they'll get us watching, we suppose.
