Taipei's subway is being turned into realistic-looking sporting venues, in celebration of an international sports meet in August.

In promotion, the subway cars were turned into swimming pools, running tracks, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, and basketball courts.

The 2017 Summer Universiade was awarded to Taipei back in 2011, when the city beat out Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, to host the college athlete tournament.
The city has constructed nearly 70 venues in preparation for the games, which nearly 10,000 athletes from 150 countries are expected to participate in.
