The Sex Partner Who Is More Attracted to Married Womenmedia, Kristen Stewart's love life, and Timemagazine's "Person of the Year": These are just a few of the things that get Donald Trump fired up.
Trump has once again put himself in the middle of a particularly inane controversy after he claimed that Time called and tried to get him to do an interview in exchange for being named "Person of the Year," which the magazine bestows on a different person/concept/metaphor each year.

Timehas not disputed that the publication did call him, but claimed that it did not agree to name Trump to the honor.
A quick perusal of Trump's Twitter feed shows that this is far from the first time he's had feels about the award, as noted by Hoover Institute fellow Adam White.
Here's a brief history of Trump's tirades:

Dec. 2014: Sad!
And not just sad. Trump manually retweeted a troll that said he should have gotten the Timeaward. He did not do this once, but rather manually retweeted the same tweet three times in the span of six days.
May - Dec. 2013: Sad
A Trump supporter (there appeared to have been such a thing back in May 2013) tweets in May that Time is going to name him person of the year to "silence" him. That's enough to get a Trump manual RT.
Then, in December 2013, the same Twitter user brings up that convo, triggering Trump yet again.

Oct. 2012: Really sad
Trump doesn't even crack Time's Top 100, effectively removing "all credibility" from the magazine.

Dec. 2011: Irritated
Credit where credit is due: Trump calls out Time for giving its award to "The Protestor" but having a double standard as to the kind of protestor they are honoring.

This is a legitimately impressive run. Not many people can claim to have kept a six-year feud going strong, but Trump is nothing if not a model of consistently focused rage.
