Confusion and synonyms of eroticizecontroversy left quite the imprint across Twitter this week.
Donald Trump claimed Scotland was "going wild" over the Brexit vote (they weren't), a mom proved to her daughter she was ready for a Beyoncé concert by quoting her lyrics (they were Rihanna's) and a whole mess of people tweeted congratulations at what they thought was Iceland's soccer team (it was an Icelandic grocery store).
SEE ALSO: Things got weird on Twitter this weekIn the midst of all this mayhem, we at least have a silly kid at baseball game, an otter celebrating her 20th birthday and Tony Hawk busting out a middle-aged 900 to balance everything out.

Grey’s Anatomy actor Jesse Williams was awarded the Humanitarian Award at the 2016 BET Awards for his commitment to social justice and involvement in the Black Lives Matter movement, which included executive producing "Stay Woke: The Movement for Black Lives Matter" for the network. His empowering acceptance speech stole the night, inspiring the black community inside and outside the building. Which is why many took umbrage when Justin Timberlake tweeted how inspired he was by it. Many who saw his tweet accused him of being exactly the type of appropriator of black culture Williams mentioned in his speech. When called out by one user in particular, Timberlake responded with:
Oh, you sweet soul. The more you realize that we are the same, the more we can have a conversation.

Bye. https://t.co/FeTmGLOKVc
He later apologized “to anyone that felt he was out of turn.”

In a landmark referendum, The United Kingdom voted 51.9 percent to 48.1% to leave the European Union on Thursday, June 23. While this has many young people upset with the heavy sway the older generation had on the decision, it has a one Donald Trump downright giddy. So giddy that maybe he didn’t do all his research. Drawing parallels from Brexit to America, Trump tweeted this statement about Scotland “taking their country back”, even though Scotland resoundingly voted to remain in the European Union.

Whatever you do, mom, do NOT sing “oh na na what’s my name” at Beyoncé. Alison from Glasgow, Scotland, posted this screenshot of a conversation with her mother who is very excited to be going to see Beyoncé on July 7. Except, well, she doesn’t seem to know who Beyoncé is. When Alison calls her out for only knowing three songs, her mother confidently proves her wrong with lyrics to Rihanna’s “What’s My Name." Also, try not reading this whole thing in a Scottish accent. It’s impossible.

The Supreme Court ruled against a set of Texas abortion restrictions on Monday, deeming them unconstitutional for placing an undue burden on patients and not promoting women's health and safety. The Daily Showposted the above tweet in response to the decision, angering many by seemingly encouraging people to get abortions. An hour later, the show commented on their own tweet saying, “Friends, we’re certainly not promoting abortions. Just excited about #SCOTUS reaffirming right to choose.”

After shocking Euro 2016 with their 2-1 victory over England in the tournament’s round of 16, Iceland’s soccer team naturally received an outpouring of love, support and Brexit jokes online. However, some such messages of support didn’t quite make it to the team’s Twitter page @footballiceland. Instead, they somehow ended up on the doorstep of Iceland grocery store, @IcelandFoods. Iceland Foods happily took all their undeserved congratulations, though. Seems like they’ve been waiting for this kind of recognition for a long time.
@CrAzYK4Ne We sold some great frozen foods.

There are still plenty of reasons for us to maintain our faith in humanity.

One such reason is this boy having a blast with the cameraman at the NCAA College World Series without even saying a word. He begins with a serious stare-down of the camera, and then proceeds to get sassy with it, working it with his eyebrows and shoulders. It’s clear his mother deals with this kind of behavior on a regular basis. At least it keeps her laughing.

Another such reason we should keep our faith in humanity is because of the otters. One otter in particular celebrated her 20th birthday at The Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan in Japan. The adorable sea otter named Pata celebrated the big 2-0, which is approximately 80 years old in human years. The Aquarium’s twitter shared a photo of Pata recieving a cake made of fruit in ice, as well as some #tbt photos of Pata back in the day. Happy Birthday Pata!

First of all, Tony Hawk is 48. If that’s not mind-blowing enough, how about the fact that at 48 years old, he is still able to pull off a 900. 17 years to the day after nailing his first one at the 1999 Summer X Games in San Francisco, California, Hawk did it again. Just like the first go ‘round, he powers through a countless number of hard falls before sticking the landing. He says this 900 will be his last.
