Jason Reitman's announced Ghostbustersmovie will be Watch Young Woman Bai Jiea continuation of the original two films and will likely not include the 2016 female-led reboot of the franchise in its canon.
Leslie Jones, who played Ghostbuster Patty Tolan in the 2016 movie, tweeted her feelings about the situation in response to three separate people who publicly wished that the sequel would find a way to include the lady Ghostbusters.

Jones tweeted that the sequel was "so insulting" and "something trump would do," and was annoyed that the new sequel would ignore the film she had made with Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, and Chris Hemsworth.
Since Jones was replying in solidarity with people who were in favor of the female Ghostbusters returning, it's fair to say that there are some fans who are hoping to see both sides of the franchise come together in a new movie.
Will that happen? Almost definitely not. And Leslie Jones isn't afraid to say how she feels about that.
