Some Americans still find it hard to decipher the Australian accent.
SEE ALSO: Macadamia the koala joey is here to charm your socks offAs in the case of host Steve Harvey, who couldn't quite understand the accent of Steve Irwin's son, Robert, when he and his family appeared on Sunday's episode of CelebrityFamily Feud.
When asked to "name something a 5-year-old might ask a bank to loan him money to buy," Irwin replied eagerly with "a car!"
Not that Harvey seemed to understand: "What? What'd you say?" he said, to which Irwin stretched his mouth and accentuated the "r" in "car."
Look, the American accent is a challenge for everyone else in the world, okay.
Irwin told Fairfax Mediathat the accent has long caused confusion for the family.
"My dad had the same problem when ordering water at any restaurant in the US," he told the news outlet. "No one could understand him either!"
While the answer "car" wasn't correct, and there was a some misunderstanding, Irwin's family won the night ahead of This Is Usstar Chrissy Metz and her family. The Irwins took out a US$25,000 prize for their Wildlife Warriors charity.
Still winning, despite the accent.
