Greta Thunberg,Watch Selina's Gold Online the 16-year-old Swedish climate change activist, isn't afraid to contradict adults on their perceptions about climate change.
On Wednesday, Thunberg provided testimony for a U.S. House of Representatives foreign affairs subcommittee joint hearing on the global youth climate change movement. Jamie Margolin, a 17-year-old American climate change activist and Vic Barrett, a 20-year-old Afro-Latino climate justice activist, also testified.
During the hearing, Rep. Garret Graves points the finger away from the U.S.'s greenhouse gas emissions and toward other countries with higher emissions. Graves is the lead Republican on the House Select Committee on Climate Change, which co-hosted the hearing.
"Ms. Thunberg, let me ask you a question. If you were sailing across the ocean and you’re picking up trash along the way, and for every one piece of trash that you pick up there is a boat right next to you dumping out five pieces. How would that make you feel?” Graves says.
Thunberg isn't having it.

“Well, first of all, if you use that logic, then I am also dumping a lot of trash in the ocean. And then I would stop dumping my trash in the ocean and tell the other boat to stop dumping their trash in the ocean as well," Thunberg replies.
