When it came out in October 2016,Watch The Florist Online the PlayStation VR did not exactly wow us: It looked nice and modern, but its tracking system and Move controllers left a lot to be desired.
Now, Sony has a new version of the headset which improves on the original in several ways, but only fixes one of the bigger issues -- and only for those that have an HDR-capable TV.
SEE ALSO: Here's one way to propose to the love of your life—in VRThe new model, unsexily called CUH-ZVR2, has a slightly updated design, integrated stereo headphone cables, and an updated Processor Unit with HDR passthrough, meaning you no longer have to disconnect the unit when you want to view HDR content on a TV.
The PSVR games you own are all compatible with the new model. However, due to the cables being different, you won't be able to swap out your old Processor Unit with the new one -- meaning PSVR early adopters who want to take advantage of the new HDR passthrough feature will have to upgrade their whole setup.
There's no exact date for the U.S. launch, though Sony says the price of the PSVR bundles will remain the same as before. In Japan, the new headset will launch on October 14 , bundled with the PlayStation Camera, for 44,980 yen ($399).
